Other gifts include a pair of Murano glass birds, musical bird apps, blue birdbaths, framed bird prints and pastels, photographs by Erik Olsen and much more.
Trees also figure prominently in the upcoming fundraiser. An original oil of a registered Polk County Treasured Tree is being donated by Richard Baker. As well, there are Christmas trees made expressly for birds and trees ornamented in seashells resembling birds.
Cory and Erin Thompson of Thompson’s Garden Gallery and Outdoor Living, located in Tryon, will give guests a bird’s eye view of life in the treetops, the idyll of open space transformed by origami birds, Japanese lanterns and tiny moss gardens.
To round out the evening’s entertainment, music will be provided by Jim Peterman and Mack McCloud.
PAC invites the public to come participate in its first annual dinner auction, “For Land’s Sake!,” to help support the organization that’s working to protect and conserve open space here in Polk County.
