Columbus police recover stolen motorcycle, arrest three

On Friday, Aug. 10, the Columbus Police Department located and recovered a stolen motorcycle during a vehicle stop on I-26 East near the 66-mile marker, according to police reports. The motorcycle was reportedly stolen from Georgetown, Ky. on Aug. 8.
The driver of the vehicle, Jamal Rashuadd Garvin, 17, of Beaufort, S.C. was arrested and charged with driving after consuming under age 21, consuming alcohol underage, speeding 110 mph in a 65 mph zone, reckless driving, felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle and felony possession of burglary tools. Garvin is being held in the Polk County Jail in lieu of a $17,000 secured bond and had his first appearance in court on Monday Aug. 13.
Lawrence Elijaha Doe Jr., 28, of Beaufort, S.C. with a lengthy criminal record, was arrested and charged with felony possession of a firearm by a felon, felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle, felony possession of burglary tools, carrying a concealed gun and littering. Doe is being held in the Polk County Jail in lieu of a $30,000 secured bond and had his first appearance in court on Monday, Aug. 13.
Miranda Jean Arnold, 22, of Georgetown, Ky., was arrested and charged with felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle, felony possession of burglary tools, consuming alcohol in a passenger area of a motor vehicle and transporting unsealed liquor in the passenger area of a motor vehicle. Arnold is being held in the custody of the Polk County Jail in lieu of a $15,000 secured bond and had his first appearance in court on Monday, Aug. 13.
