Saluda Community Land Trust will have their fifth annual meeting on April 25 at 6:30 p.m., Parish Hall at Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration. Guest speaker will be John Vining. Saluda Center: enjoy a community potluck on Thursday, April 26 at 6 p.m., and an art reception April 27 at 5:30-7 p.m. for Jane Ratchford of Columbus.
The wonderfully friendly Saluda Tailgate Market begins its third season on May 4 at 4:30 at the city parking lot off Main Street. Offerings throughout the growing season include fresh vegetables, fruit, honey, baked items, plants and much more.
Art Notes: Several Saluda artists will be on the Art Trek Tryon open studio tour along with more than 30 area artists on May 5 and 6 with a preview party at the Upstairs Artspace in Tryon on May 4. Participating artists will be featured in a gallery exhibit for two weeks; this is always a fun event. Mark your calendar for the ninth annual Saluda Arts Festival on May 19. There’ll be more than 65 artists and craftspeople. Thank you Polk County Community Foundation for sponsoring music for this great event!
Saluda Fire and Rescue Auxiliary needs donations (drop off at fire department) for their May 5 yard and plant sale; funds raised will help members and families in our community who are affected by disasters.
Saluda School will have a Family Fun Night on April 26 with Scott Kinard. Don’t miss it!
