The Claydies will present their second annual sculpture show on Oct. 2 at the new Tryon Painters and Sculptors (TPS) gallery at 26 Maple St. in Tryon.
The public is invited to a reception for the exhibit on Sunday, Oct. 2 from 5 – 7 p.m.
Who are the Claydies? They are seven women who work together every Thursday morning at the TPS clay studio on Maple Street. They inspire and encourage each other in their study of working with clay to express individual ideas, to learn the many possibilities of the medium and to put it all together to create a piece of art.
Periodic workshops are held with recognized professional sculptors such as Melisa Cadell from Burnsville, N.C., who came this summer.
Each of the women in the group will be introduced in a forthcoming article in the Tryon Daily Bulletin.
