NAMI-Four Seasons will present a screening of “Minds on the edge: Facing mental illness” on Sept. 26 at 6 p.m. at the Polk County Public Library.
A question-and-answer period will follow to encourage community dialogue about what can be done to improve treatment options and support for people with mental illness and their families.
“Minds on the edge: Facing mental illness,” produced by the Fred Friendly Seminars, brings together U.S Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, Nobel-Prize-winning neuroscientist Eric Kandel, author Pete Earley as well as other panelists from law, medicine and public policy who have personal and professional experience with the challenges of mental illness.
