FENCE to host Clemson’s Master Naturalist Certificate Program
Published 6:02 pm Tuesday, September 13, 2011
FENCE will host Clemson’s Master Naturalist Certificate Program on Saturdays, Sept. 17 through Nov. 19.
A Master Naturalist is someone who has undergone specific training and who regularly volunteers. Master Naturalists seek to help in maintaining the quality of our native ecosystems.
This training is designed to help these volunteers read the landscape of the state. Training includes understanding the underlying geology, ecology and human impacts on the landscape. The classes will cover trees, plants, reptiles, amphibians, mammals, birds and more. No previous knowledge is required, just an appreciation of the natural world.
For more information contact Tracie Hanson at 828-859-9021 or natureeducations@fence.org or George Dickert at 864-596-2993 ext. 17.
