Fall sports season is upon us: are you in the know?

I awoke to a cool breeze yesterday morning, and was reminded that summer is coming to an end and fall is on its way.
Our children are, or already have, returned to school, backpacks bursting with new supplies, new shoes on their feet and hopefully an eagerness and willingness to learn.
Part of the school experience in this country is sports.
Our school children learn many valuable lessons from athletics.
These unified activities teach life skills such as teamwork, hard work, determination and good sportsmanship whether winning or losing. This evening the games begin at Polk County High School with the first official football game of the season.
The Wolverines will take on the Tuscola Mountaineer’s and while I’ll be cheering for all the players, I’ll be pulling for the Wolverines tonight.
You can check out our website (www.tryondailybulletin.com) this evening for game results and if you sign up for our daily email you can also receive links to the stories straight in your email inbox this evening.
In today’s issue we are pleased to bring you our annual Fall Sports Preview.
Filled with information on this season’s game schedules and team lines ups, covering football, soccer, track, volleyball and more as we attempt to give you a glimpse at the hard work our teenagers are pouring into sports they love.
We hope you enjoy find yourself devouring information on these teams as you flip page-by-page.
Make a point this season to attend as many of these events as possible. You’ll never know how much it means to a youth to see the bleachers filled at a volleyball game or tennis match. You just might give them the vote of confidence they need to bring a win home and boost their self-esteem.
Best of luck to all of the players and participants in this year’s games!
