The “Walk & Talk” program at the Upstairs Artspace is moving from Sunday afternoons to one hour before opening receptions for new exhibits.
This Saturday, Aug. 20, “Walk & Talk” is scheduled for 4 p.m., an hour before the reception for “Curvature and Color” (paintings), “Carolina the Beautiful”(photography) and “Souls of Clay” (figurative sculpture).
Several artists from each exhibit will talk informally about their work. The audience is encouraged to ask questions.
The program was designed in the 1990s to inform and inspire the general public about the art exhibited at the Upstairs. It attracts people who appreciate art and want to better understand it. It also draws artists who like to learn tricks of the trade from their peers.
Following “Walk & Talk,” the reception is from 5 to 8 p.m. and includes refreshment and live music.
