Harriet Fortune Hall

Harriet Fortune Hall, 88, of  203 S. Peak St., Columbus died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011 at the Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills, Landrum.
Born in Tryon, she was the daughter of the late John and Bertha Kuykendall Fortune. Mrs. Hall was a member of Columbus Baptist Church, where she served in the choir and was a former junior department superintendent.  She was a homemaker.
Surviving include her husband, Lonnie E. Hall Jr. of the home; one son, Wayne Hall (Judy) of Shelby, N.C., and one daughter, Jill Taylor (Eddie) of Green Hill, N.C. Also surviving are four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6 in Columbus Baptist Church, Columbus, with Rev. Robert Capps officiating.
Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus.
The family will receive friends prior to the service Saturday from 1-2 p.m. in Columbus Baptist Church.
The family will be at the home, 203 S. Peak St., Columbus.
