The Polk County Animal Control is asking residents to return animal traps to the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office has approximately 30 animal traps that it loans to residents.

The animal control office is asking residents with county traps to either return them to the sheriff’s office, located at 40 Ward Street in Columbus, or to call the sheriff’s office at 828-894-3001 to arrange an officer to come pick up the traps.
