Winter peace at Pearsons Falls
Published 5:13 pm Wednesday, January 5, 2011
Pearsons Falls woodlands are quiet under a blanket of snow after the recent winter storm. The turkeys walking the trails and leaving their footprints in the snow will be undisturbed this month, as Pearsons Falls is closed for the month of January. In February, it will resume normal daily hours from 10 a.m. – 5:15 p.m. Pearsons Falls, located off Hwy. 176 near Saluda, has been owned and operated by the Tryon Garden Club since 1932. The club welcomes interested persons to join in helping to preserve this 268 acres of deciduous climax forest with more than 200 species of wildflowers, fern, moss and lichen.
