When Art Trek Tryon visitors come to see Bill Crowell demonstrating blacksmithing at Saluda Forge in Tryon, they will also be able to see work by nine more artists next door at Kathleen’s gallery on the hill.
Julie McIntyre will be demonstrating her flame working techniques for glass bead making. Kim Attwooll will be demonstrating watercolor and invites you to share in an interactive painting project.
The other artists showing their work are:
Lee Holroyd, acrylic paintings
Holly Mitchell, folk art sculptures of her “little folks” with stories attached
Mara and Ford Smith, photography
Gaffney Jarrell, abstract expressionist paintings
Barbara Tilly, hand-painted silk scarves, pocketbooks and wall-hangings
Brenda Gray, jewelry and photography.
All these artists show their work in Kathleen’s Gallery on Trade Street, but for this weekend they are taking over the gallery on the hill, and here you will be able to meet them and see even more of their work.
