Rose Frances Jaeger

Rose Frances Jaeger, 98, of Tryon died Wednesday, April 14, 2010 in White Oak Manor in Tryon.

Born in Newark, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Emil Willkehr and Catherine Will Willkehr and widow of Alfred Jaeger, who died in 2003. Mrs. Jaeger was a friend of the Jehovah Witnesses.

Surviving is one son, Charles Steen and wife, Marie of Bernardsville, N.J. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Valerie Zanardi and Charles (Butch) Steen IV, and six great grandchildren, Christopher, Catherine, Spencer and Caroline Zanardi, Jacquelyn Steen and Charles (Buddy) Steen V.

At her request, no services are planned.

In her last hours, Rose expressed warm thanks to all her friends who have helped her these past 15 years making her life full and happy.
