Final TFAC Series Concert aids Outreach

Pianist George Winston will appear in concert at Tryon Fine Arts Center Monday, April 12 at 8 p.m.
Winston, who plays over 100 solo concerts a year in America and beyond, asks that each performance be combined with a food drive for a local food bank.
TFACs partner for this event, Thermal Belt Outreach Ministry, not only will receive canned food items from those holding tickets, but will keep part of the proceeds from George Winston merchandise sold in the lobby.

Winston plays in a variety of styles, including melodic folk, stride piano, New Orleans R&B, and some of the compositions of the late jazz pianist Vince Guaraldi (Linus and Lucy).
The Grammy Award winner is best known for his seasonal piano recordingsAutumn, Winter Into Spring, December, and Summeras well as his themed albums Forest, Plains, and MontanaA Love Story and Night Divides the Daythe Music of the Doors.
His latest album, Gulf Coast Blues & ImpressionsA Hurricane Relief Benefit has raised thousands for New Orleans hurricane relief.
