Macon Bank donates $2,000 to Polk County Schools Athletics Dept. Macon Bank Manager Brian Jones presented Polk County Schools Athletic Fundraising Chair Jim Hemphill with a $2,000 donation to Polk County Schools Athletic Department.
A portion of the donation funded a trip for 21 Polk County High students to attend the 18th annual Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Rally in the Valley hosted by the Clemson Area FCA Adult Chapter at Clemson University.
According to PCHS FAC sponsor and teacher Will Pack, this was the fifth year that the PCHS FCA was able to attend the event that includes an FCA rally at Littlejohn Coliseum with praise and worship music performed by the Dave Odom Band, a student testimony, and a message from Pastor Ken Scrubbs. After the rally, they walked over to Memorial Stadium (Death Valley), to watch the Clemson vs. Wake Forest football game, which Clemson won 38-3.
Despite the rain and cold air, we had a great time as usual, says Coach Pack. We truly appreciate Macon Bank contributing to the trip.
