Happy Birthday, Polk County Courthouse!

The historic Polk County Courthouse celebrates a birthday of sorts in September. According to the nomination documents for the National Register of Historic Places, the local courthouse was in fine working condition in September, 1859. Therefore, the courthouse turned 150 years old this month. (photo submitted)
