On Friday, May 22, the Upstairs Artspace in Tryon presents &dquo;Feats in Flux,&dquo; a theatrical entertainment by the actor Rema Keen and installation artist Janet Orselli.
The performance is in conjunction with &dquo;Feats,&dquo; Orselli&squo;s exhibit about feet and recycled objects.
The two artists will merge their art forms for what organizers describe as a magical evening of poetry, stories, skits and audience participation.
&dquo;There&squo;ll be plenty of humor and &squo;sole,&squo; &dquo; says Orselli. &dquo;The appeal is to all ages.&dquo;
Keen is a well-known actor, storyteller, playwright and musician who has toured nationally with theater groups. She&squo;s currently a teaching artist with the South Carolina Arts Commission and lives in Campobello. Orselli&squo;s ambitious installations have been shown throughout the United States, including New York City; she lives in Mill Spring.
The show starts at 7 p.m., and doors open at 6:20. Though the event is free, donations are recommended. Light refreshments will be served.
