Juanita Bramlette Paul
Published 2:45 pm Friday, March 27, 2009
Juanita was married to the former Dr. Joe Paul, radiologist in Tryon, professor of electrical engineering at Princeton and All-American athlete.
Her own musical career spanned decades, beginning with her singing degree at Peabody Conservatory and ending with her years in the choir at the Tryon Presbyterian Church with her good friend, Betty Brewer, as her accompanist.
She is survived by her twin daughters, Jean Paul Preston (Buck) of Tryon and Anne Paul Chase (Terry) of Baltimore, Md., Jody Paul (Carol) of Collegeville, Penn., Charles Paul of Greenville, N.C. and Nita Paul of Baltimore, Md.
We are a planet of grieving orphans and think our losses are special. However, those left by Juanita are especially mindful of her smile, her resilience to make it to 93 and her grace to accept the 42 years she lived without her best friend, Joe Paul.
To her ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren who remember G.G., this is for you as much as it is in memory of G.G.:
She loved you all as much as she loved her Joe and her God. You were and are the living testament to her life as a mother. Love each other as she loved you.
