Talmadge Parham

Born Oct. 1, 1937, in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Joseph C. and Bertha Cannon Parham and the husband of the late Ruby Parham. He was employed with Hammond Brown Jennings for over 30 years and retired from Jesse Bobo Elementary School. He was a member of Fairforest Church of God and a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Turner of Spartanburg; two sons, Steve Parham of Mill Spring and Eddie Parham of Fountain Inn, S.C.; two brothers, Charles Parham of Boiling Springs and Ellis Parham of Spartanburg; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. John Petty.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, S.C. 29303.
